S.ANDREA

Vercelli is the Italian capital of rice and S. Andrea is the basilica of the city from which this historical variety of rice takes its name. It is the rice used to cook the typical local dish: panissa.
S. Andrea has a particular consistency and an excellent cooking resistance, both characteristics that make it perfect for soups, timbales, arancini and rice cakes.

The adjective “Classico” defines the “real” S. Andrea, whose seed has not been genetically modified for commercial purposes.
